This week we’re excited to introduce another one of our publicists, Paige McDaniel!
Although her closest friends call her Paigers (and she’s not quite sure why it stuck), this hardcore, impulsive Gemini born on May 31 prefers to go by “Paige.” She grew up in the small town of Black Diamond, WA (complete with one stoplight), and relocated to Enumclaw with her family when she started high school so she could be closer to sports, jobs, friends and more. Although she vowed she’d never live in Tacoma, she recently made the move and absolutely loves it. She’s definitely not a small town girl!
Although Paige really loves chicken apple pecan salad, she’ll also never turn down sushi. “Trapper’s keeps taking all my money!” Like many other locals, she’s also a big Seahawks fan, “12th man all the way!” She adores the Sounders as well, but won’t claim to be a hardcore soccer fan. Paige also misses playing sports, especially water polo and swimming. “I’ve coached a bit here and there and want to get back into that.”
And what’s the most interesting place Paige has traveled? “I recently went on a Caribbean cruise and I absolutely loved Honduras! My mom and I jumped in a cab and snuck off to the other side of the island so we got to drive through a bit of ‘real’ Honduras, not the touristy part. The snorkeling was the best; I’m officially addicted. They had to come fetch me because I didn’t realize our session was done and I was so entranced.” Next, she’d like to hop on the first plane to Dublin, Ireland or Munich, Germany. “I have friends in Germany now so that’s why it’s tied with Ireland!”
When it comes to hobbies, Paige loves to stay busy! She is a karaoke junkie and loves finding new music; she also enjoys yoga, running, writing songs, trying new coffee and wine, riding motorcycles, going swimming and watching movies. “I’m also a self-taught makeup artist (with the help of a cosmetologist best friend), so I mess around with makeup quite a bit, from the natural look to zombie!”
When she’s not working, Paige is usually watching random YouTube videos, discovering a new place in Tacoma or hanging out with friends. “I live 2 blocks from the hottest avenue in the city so I love diving into the bustling nightlife.”
What else does Paige want you to know? “Life feels like it’s right on the precipice of something awesome so I’m pretty excited!”
