1. Be Charming
Whoever wrote the TurboTax text has a humorous approach to the situation. The language of each page was casual yet informative, as if you were filing taxes with your friend. Even though filing taxes is serious business, it doesn’t have to feel stiff and stressful. Including light humor on your social media sites can create an engaging feel and make customers want to keep coming back.
2. Include Helpful Videos
When filing taxes you may have more forms than just W-2’s and not know what they mean or where to file them. When inputting my different documents I was pleasantly surprised at how helpful their search engine was. Not only did the results turn up with clear explanations, there were also videos showing users exactly what to do. Social media sites that include helpful videos have higher engagement with customers than those who do not. What does your company excel at? 3. Be Easy To Navigate
The TurboTax website was one of the simplest programs I’ve ever used. Not much gets easier than hitting next until it tells you that you are done. Your company website and social media platforms should be just as easy. Include clearly marked tabs or sections that inform readers of what they want to know. Finding information should not be a daunting task for users. Make your website as clear as possible for customers.
